Ann Arbor’s Monster Record & CD Show

Ann Arbor’s Monster Record & CD Show is coming to town during the second week of the month. Early admission is priced at $15 and allows patrons to enter the show two hours before general admission from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Regular admission is priced at $3 and runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The show accepts cash only. From LPs, CDs, cassettes, t-shirts, posters, and even record storage solutions — this is a show you won’t want to miss if you love physical format music. Genres range from rock, classical, metal, pop, jazz, country, and more. Previous shows have hosted hundreds of visitors, so arrive early for the best selection! The next record & CD event won’t be held until late July, so take advantage of April’s date and snag some vintage tunes to jam out to throughout the spring season.

Titanic: The Musical

Titanic is a stirring musical that depicts the hopes, aspirations, and dreams of actual passengers aboard the ill-fated ship. The musical premiered on Broadway in the spring of 1997, eight months before the popular film was released. The production won a Tony Award for Best Musical and has thrilled audiences for decades. Catch a performance at the 1,300-seat Power Center this April, with ticket prices starting at $34. Attendees can select their preferred seat when booking online. All sales are final. Patrons should keep in mind that stairs are required to access the balcony seats, so opt for main-floor seating if stairs may cause difficulty.

Ann Arbor Jewish Film Festival

The Annual Ann Arbor Jewish Film Festival is a 19-day event with 7 in-person events and various online screenings via Eventive, which is a virtual streaming platform. The film festival has a long, distinguished history that dates back to 2001 and to this day continues to provide an opportunity for community members to gather socially and intellectually around the medium of film. Individual film tickets can be purchased for $12 or you can purchase a Virtual Festival Pass that provides access to streaming films. Catch all the films for $150 or pick 5-10 films for $50-$80. Film selections for this year’s festival include Avenue of the Giants, Never Alone, Pink Lady, Sabbath Queen and many more exciting titles!

Astronomicon 2025

Astronomicon has been voted as one of the best Comic Con events in the area. This April, head over to the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest for what’s sure to be a time to remember. The three-day event is described as an “out of this world experience,” so invite your friends and family to participate in events such as the cosplay contest, exciting photo ops with some of your favorite characters and actors, and more. Tickets for Astronomicon are priced at $30-$40 for single-day entry or $70 for a weekend pass. Add a concert ticket to your pass for an additional $30 or upgrade to the VIP pack if you want to go all out. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free and children ages 6 to 12 can pick up a $15 weekend pass at the door. Convention hours vary daily, so be sure to check the schedule before you make plans!

Easter Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt

Celebrate Easter with the family at The Polo Fields Golf and Country Club this year! From 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, families are invited to partake in the Easter Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt. Tickets are priced at $10 for kiddos ages 4 and under, $15 for children ages 5 to 12, and $20 for adults. Children will delight in the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny himself and indulge in a build-your-own waffle bar before embarking on their egg-hunting adventure. If the weather permits, the hunt will be held outside. Reservations should be made by April 15th so that organizers know how many attendees to expect. Additional Easter festivities at the Polo Club include Easter Brunch the following day, Sunday. With limited spots available, make your reservations now for one of the seatings. Non-members are priced at $45 and members receive a discounted rate of $40. The buffet menu will feature omelets, bacon, French toast, eggs Benedict, a smoked ham carving station, barbecue pork tenderloin, fried chicken and waffles, and much more.

Ann Arbor’s Earth Day Festival 2025

The annual Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Leslie Science & Nature Center. This celebration is family-friendly and free to the public. Attendees can expect an array of Earth Day displays, as well as hands-on activities and live entertainment for all ages such as Joe Reilly and the Community Gardeners. The event will cover green building and commuting technologies, as well as a variety of energy topics and information about sustainable agriculture. To promote what Earth Day is all about, the festival will be a Zero Waste gathering! Visitors are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles to help promote this initiative. The main event of the day will be the All-Species Parade, which is scheduled for approximately 2:00 PM. Kids and parents alike are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite animal or dress in a festive way to celebrate a healthy planet!

DoNot Stop Half Marathon

What’s sweeter than being rewarded with donuts after a run? The DoNot Stop Half Marathon and 5K/10K is a great way to spend quality time with loved ones while getting active outdoors. This April race will be held at the Kensington Metro Park and participants can look forward to a delicious donut waiting for them at the finish line. Additional perks that runners/joggers/walkers can enjoy are free photos, custom medals, chip-timing with live results, awards and, of course, plenty of fun memories to hold onto! Registration for the event ranges from $10 to $56, depending on which distance you opt for and whether any age-based discounts are applied. Participate in the Baker’s Dozen Challenge, which involves participants eating 12 donut holes at aid stations throughout the course before enjoying their crowning jewel pastry at the finish line. There will also be an untimed kid’s dash for children ages 10 and under to ensure everyone has the chance to join in on the fun.

Michigan Wolverines Baseball Home Games

If you’re looking to catch a Michigan Wolverines baseball game, April is a great time to do so! With 12 home games, there is plenty of opportunity to cheer on the team as they work to strengthen their ranking. In the first game of the year, the Wolverines beat the former No. 2 team, Virginia, in Puerto Rico, going on to achieve a 4-0 start to the season. Throughout April, the team will face off against Akron, Oregon, Oakland, Mount St. Mary’s, Iowa, and more. The games against Akron and Oakland on April 8th and 9th will offer free admission! The April 12th and 13th games against Mount St. Mary’s will include Beach Bash and Bark in the Park promotions, and the face-off against the Iowa Hawkeyes on April 18th will be the Backyard Baseball Night. Fans can purchase the Backyard Baseball Jersey Ticket Pack to receive an exclusive jersey!

16th Annual Ride for Recovery 

6633 Stony Creek Road, Ypsilanti

The Annual Ride for Recovery is an event that provides support to Dawn Farm by raising funds for integral services that assist addicts in achieving long-term recovery. Funds raised by the ride go towards supporting scholarships for those who would otherwise be unable to afford care. The Ride for Recovery welcomes all fitness levels, with four bike rides to choose from — as well as a 5K/10K shuffle walk/run option. There is a 100K “Serenity” ride, a 40-mile “Honesty” ride, a 25-mile “Openness” ride, and a 10K “Willingness” ride. If you can’t make it out on April 27th, there’s also a virtual event! Over the years, the Ride for Recovery event has raised over a quarter million dollars for those in need. Bike rides are staggered from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM and the walk/run is scheduled for 10:30 AM. This is a family-fun fitness event, so bring the kiddos out to promote physical activity and enjoy the great outdoors in Ypsilanti!

47th Annual Burns Park Run 

1700 Wells Street, Ann Arbor

The 2025 Burns Park Run will have courses for 5K and 10K runners, as well as a half-mile fun run for the youngest participants. There is also a Virtual 5K option for those who can’t make it to Burns Park on April 27th. The run is sponsored by Probility and registration fees range from $5 to $35, with a price increase occurring after April 15th. The route winds participants through Ann Arbor’s Burns Park neighborhood near the University of Michigan campus, which has historically been a favorite of both beginner and world-class runners. The run also doubles as a fundraiser that supports Burns Park Elementary PTO programs. Families will appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere, with the race boasting 1,000-1,500 runners ages 5 to 90 years old. This number includes the 200+ elementary school kids that run the 5K. All finishers will receive a medal, with additional awards handed out at the post-run ceremony for the top male, female, and non-binary finishers, as well as age-specific recognitions.

Dexter Winter Farmers Market

The family-friendly Dexter Farmers Market is a great way to spend the afternoon while you peruse arts and crafts, bread and baked goodies, jewelry, fresh produce, and farm-fresh eggs and local meat. The market is passionate about supporting local growers and producers by connecting them with community members who value small farms and fresh, locally grown food. April 12th is the final date for the market’s winter season, so make the most of it before the summer market returns! The Saturday market is held at the Dexter United Methodist Church and runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The April 12th date will also feature a live performance by Ed Young.

Downtown Milan Wine Walk 

3 East Main Street, Milan
April 26th

The 10th Annual Wine Walk is one of the most exciting April events in the Ann Arbor area! Head to Milan with a group of friends or family to stroll through the historic downtown from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Wine walkers will visit 10 venues and sample 25+ wines, as well as food and refreshments. Tickets include a Wine Walk bag with exciting swag. Tickets are priced at $65 each and provide access to all venues and include 12 tasting tickets. Attendees must be 21 and older. Designated drivers do not need tickets. Before the Wine Walk, ticket holders will be sent an email with additional details about venue locations and check-in and registration instructions.
